which version do you want to install?

there is no need to install any in between version

make sure windows updates are done before installing 7.5 or 8 and temp folder is empty

Hey Anton it's really good to hear from you. Right now I'm use v6.55 and have already uninstalled from my Pc. I have both E7, E8 and both are upgrade version. I would like to install E8, but I was told where I bought E7 and E8 must install E7 first before install the E8 then upgrade to E8.

Regarding to my pc it's not completely new but have used it for about two years now, don't have windows update problems works exactly as it should and don't have any antivirus installed on it. Thank you for your advice.

there is no need to install E7

if you like E8, install it and enter the E8 serial, it will then ask you for a previous serial, enter the E7 serial

after all that is done, update E8 to E8.1

you will need to download the vistitle 2.6 update in order to install in EDIUS8

also, if you have EDIUS 8 Pro, there maybe an issue with creating an ID at the moment because of server issues

if you have EDIUS 8 Workgroup, you can skip that ID process (I am still trying to figure out what the benefit of an ID will be, I have one and I see no benefit at this stage)

Yes I do have Edius 8 Pro not EW. Yes I have been already seen an ID, but what do I need to register first, the Edius Serial Nr or an ID.

You need to enter the serial number when prompted and then EDIUS will ask you to enter the user ID. You cannot get into EDIUS until you have entered the user ID, so you must make one and then enter the details. Then you can get into EDIUS.
