    Anton,

I cannot believe the difference that one setting change made. It's the difference between hating this software and loving it. On your Edius Tips web page, this needs to be at the top of the list. I looked at each link related to Blu Ray disk creation and I did not see that setting recommendation. It's probably there, just missed it. Zero flickering and the burn-to-disk finished in about 8 minutes for a 22 minute video. Your advice is a huge asset to this forum.

    Thanks...Alan

you may have missed step 20 in this:
Using EDIUS 6.5 or EDIUS 7 to create Blu-ray or DVD with Motion Menus, menu audio and custom menu buttons

see the codec selected for Blu-ray

I did not read that particular article, based on the subject area, because it is more that what I need at the moment.

What keeps coming to mind is this. Since MPEG-2 is so much faster, why is it not the default? That could be a selling point on its own.

          Thanks again for your help.

          Alan

why is EDIUS selecting mp2 audio for Pal DVD by default when it should be ac3? has been complained about for 10 years
