Thanks for these advices to you you all.... it's important to see issues before they append...
I read (with a big smile) that Anton takes benefits on both situations... producing with Edius and repairing issues coming from W10 upgrades that freeze Edius.
I am also conviced and ready to pay for a "usb key dongle"... It is stable and offer only 1 user per key (or licence)... but as previously said on these forum, it's a dream that will never be realized....Yvon durieux alias "Haddock" Belgium GMT + 2

You open the Edius 8 WG licence manager on the edit PC then you have 2 options, one if the PC is on internet, if not you can do it offline by using a usb stick which you then use with another on line PC to deactivate and activate as required. You deactivate the E8 license before the Win 10 upgrade then after the upgrade you reactivate Edius. Thanks to both of you, quick anwer, text and image.
Other question
So, because I use my portable PC "occasionnaly" to use Edius... it should be preferable to deactivate it all times after use. .... and when closing Windows 10... it will append sometimes an Update.... without impact on Edius....
Next day, or week, or month.... when needed I have only to start the computer and after Windows 10 final update, I will just have to care to be correctly connected to internet, restart Edius and "activate" it.
Are all these steps correct ?

no, there is no need to deactivate all the time
I would only deactivate if I was to install a Win10 feature update which is basically a full OS installation and a pain in the rear for Win 10 usersAnton Strauss

If you are on the Internet then you should keep your machine updated because this is one of the best ways to protect yourself from being hacked. This is one of the reasons you can't stop it in Windows 10 home- presumably because Microsoft believe the people that buy Home are too stupid to keep updating Windows themselves, so they make them do it, for their own good.
I can't say any new feature in Windows 10 has really been that useful to me since it came out. The addition of GPU performance to the task manager is probably the only thing I can think of that I really use.EDIUS silver certified trainer.
