  • Stop-Motion Capture in Edius?

I haven't found this feature in the Edius manuals if it exists but it might be a hidden feature somewhere, perhaps?

I'm currently using this feature in Premiere 6.5 on a Matrox system where I need to manually capture single still frames from my camera through the S-Video input.

If its not available in Edius, my workaround would be to use Premiere 6.5 so the really big question would be, does Premiere 6.5 work with Edius NX Express?

    Hoping someone can help.

No stop motion capture in EDIUS. As for workability with NX Express in Premiere - I believe compatibility is narrowed to Prem Pro 1.x

      Hi,

Yes, I didn't think so but thats ok, I can work with that.

How sure are you, like 90% or so? Or is there any way you could find out for sure about PPro 1.x support with NX Express? ...

I've tried to email the pre-sales folks ([email protected]) but my emails keep bouncing back.

Thankyou so much for your reply

I am 100% sure on both - no stop motion support in EDIUS, no support for 6.5 of Premiere with NX Express.

DVStorm was the last (and only) product that I know of that ever supported stop motion capture (and hence, 6.5).

Its all good ... as long as I can use PremPro 1.x.

And thankyou for answering my pre-sales question on the forum ... I'm ordering NX Express in a few days :)

          Cheers,
