Can you check Canopus website (h/w compatibility list) to see if this mobo is listed there? Otherwise, you will have to wait for somebody who have actually installed it to tell you. If that board is extremely new, this will be very hard to come by.

The 975X mainboards are near end of life. Why not look at one of the newer P35 or X38 mainboards. My experience has been great with ASUS and Intel 975X boards. The one that I have used by the dozens is the P5W DH Deluxe. This is a GV/Canopus certified mainboard and is listed on there approved hardware list. The P5K Deluxe/P5KE series are the new hot models from ASUS.

These are the only ASUS boards I see on the list for testing:
              P5K-V
              P5K DELUXE
              P5K64 WS

Results will be published in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately I can only publish motherboards tested in-house.

That's not to say we can't run a user-based list here on the forums. I'll look at setting one up once I get some time.

                    Hi Cathryn,

I recently built a new PC using the Asus PK5 Premium with the Intel Q6600 CPU, and although I don't use an NXe board I can tell you that it works like a dream with Edius and edits HDV with no problem.

I am building another with the same spec tomorrow.

                    Gordon.

Gordon - Are you running your system "stock" - or did you overclock anything? What type and speed of memory and most important - which video board are you using? I'm building the same system after the 1st of the year.
                      Thanks for sharing the info.
