Just installed Edius 7.5. When it opens, a small white box opens in lower right edge near what looks like a tiny monitor and says "Device doesn't support the current format. Switching to software mode". Any thoughts on what this means and or solutions? Thank you.

Do you have an IO card
It usually means that the project settings are not suitable and Edius goes to software mode i.e only see whats on timeline in the Edius GUI

John, I am a novice with many tech terms that I don't recognize. What is an IO card? Some examples might help me recognize. Thanks.

Do you have a hardware card which outputs Edius time line to a monitor
Like a Black magic Intensity or a Grass Valley Card
        Check your project settings anyway

Thanks to all. Anton - That's what I needed to know. I just wanted to make sure this would not affect the production I have to deliver Tuesday. I had so many problems trying to identify why 5.51 had crashing problems that I upgraded my OS and Edius; this is first time using 7.5.
