  • how to Edit and send AVCHD files

    Hi all,
I have a client who wants me to shoot some site shots on my Panasonic AF102 (AVCHD) and send them to him unedited.
However I would like to cut out the warm up, irrelevant , and shaky bits before sending them. How do I edit them in Edius 6.5 and save them back to the original AVCHD format,(Panasonic af 102) so they may view them without any Edius codec?
    Ta!
UPDATE: I have found the AVCHD panasonic export format but there is not a 1920/1080 /50p only a 50i-

Try this its a few years sincei last did it
Export to AVCHD and export to removable media, this should if i am right create a folder with a sructure . You could send a copy of the folder or just the files that will be left over after editing which will be in one of the subfolders. This will reflect whats on the Tl
The process may be slow writing. Use one of your hdd instead as a destination

Not sure of the AF100 but my Sony's allow me to edit in camera. I often do this when I have a camera like my XR500 setup in the audio booth and leave it running for the full show starting 15 mins before and running through the interval. So I have 15 mins before, 20 mins interval and 10 or 15 mins after to cut out. I do this in camera with the split function and only transfer the clips I want to the PC for editing.
