New Update For Edius 8 (EDIUS_8.00_0089_DL_Setup)

Just got a notification from Grass Valley for an update for Edius 8 (EDIUS_8.00_0089_DL_Setup). Maybe a bug crusher or is it OFX support? ;)

Well, I've installed the update, I haven't noticed any major (or minor!) changes. Guess I'll found out later, gotta leave my PC now, ciao!

Seen that, too. However I failed to find (Grassvalley and Google) the corresponding Release Notes. Even for the initial release I failed to find out what's actually new or changed since EDIUS 7.50. A professional product needs professional release notes IMHO!

Not the easiest location to find it! Why can't these be put either on the download page or even better include the notes in the product itself.

Just swapped to my E8 drive - not had the update available message. It is available to d/l as a full installer on the support site - anyone tried updating that way?

Just download and run it

After you downloaded, just run it to update the existing version even though it said full version. I did and everything is fine!

Sorry for this (maybe) dumb question... if i just get the workgroup... this update works for me? i mean is an update just for E8 no matter if i have pro or workgroup?

All installers for Edius 8 are the same no matter which version you have, as it's the serial number you use that unlocks different features. So when an update comes out it works for all versions and any extra features that have been added will be unlocked or not depending on your serial number.
