  • Edius 8 Audio editing problem

There is a problem with the audio line in edius 8.
You can't edit the in or out of a clip, you can't trim the audio clip.
It elementary thing that you need to have and work with.
In edius 7.5 it work fine.
The only way that you can trim the audio clip in the timeline
    is in trim mode.

    Can you fix it?

Yes, Hit F5. You probably accidentally got into trim mode by double clicking on a cut point or end of a clip.

I think we both missed the problem
In E8 to alter the length of an "A" audio track you now have to go into "TRIM" mode, "V" and "VA" tracks are OK
In E7 you could just grab the end of any track and alter the length

No it works the same way. You can hold Alt and then click on it and drag. But (for the moment you have to grab the BOTTOM of the audio track to move.

Audio editing change in edius 8

                O.K,
I really don't understand why you change this elementary thing.
Now if you want to edit audio in the audio channel,
you can do it only in trim mode. There is not other way.
The alt key is just to hold the clip.
Why you change something that is so big and with a lot of meaning
for a lot of editors. The working now with audio is extremely difficult
then it was in the old versions of edius.
Please Please Please change it back to the old fashion way.

If it will continue like that I will reverse and uninstall this 8 version
                to the Edius 7.5.

You can still do it like the old way Zigiman, just put your mouse on the bottom edge of the audio track until you see the bracket then you can trim it like before, but yes I like the old way too.

ThanX Man, Now I understand how to do it.
Just the button edge of the clip is trim way.
I really got mad about that yesterday.

Really this 'improvement' doesn't not help at all.
