  • [8Pro] oddities with effect pallette

I don't know if this is my setup but effect drag & drop onto folder of the effects palette no longer works.

Is it the same for you ?

Thanks, this is a good point.

It works when the key-lock is in LOCKED position. My logic was it should do the opposite, I mean you can touch and re-arrange the effect palette when it is UNLOCKED ...

      From user manual, page 350:

      Folder Structure of [Effect] Palette
You can sort effects or folders, or change the folder structure. Or you can lock them not to move by mistake.

      Fixing Folder Structure
      1) Click [lock] in the [Effect] palette.
Each click on [lock] switches the lock on and off.
      Note
When you select [Return to Default], the settings return to the default even after [lock] is enabled.
“Initializing [Effect] Palette” (w page 351)

      Changing Folder Structure

Before making an operation, click [lock] to disable the lock.

Is my english understanding so wrong or it is a v8 bug ? (I don't remember how I did with v7...)

I should have written as an addition to my tip that the Lock-Symbol works wrong. It is a (known) bug!
Until the next correction we have to think "inverse" :-((
        regards kurt

If I have the time I will go and dig.
This issue has surfaced a few years ago with the reversed padlock on the effect pallette, I'm sure as I am sober now :)
