You can export a CSV file from the timeline in the marker Window. However, Encore does not have a chapter import option so its no use. I still export the CSV, then have it open next to Encore, type in the timecode into Encore and then press * to add a chapter.

I do all of the chapter points manually in Encore. It is fairly quick and painless. If it doesn't matter where they are placed, there is an auto add function that spaces them by time.

The exporter works great...with Authoring Works. Encore does not have any way to import chapter markers.
This and the 'no changing progressive timelines to DVD timelines in Edius' design have been a huge thorn in my side because DVD will never die!

Encore does not have any way to import chapter markers.
Both tools are transfering EDIUS Sequence marker into Encore chapter marker

Thanks for posting Eric. I was familiar with the Macro Generator using subtitles, but have not seen the other method by Michael Schleider.
Do you have any information as I can not find any mention of this utility on the Edius training video website you linked to.
Thanks.

unfortunately there are no further information published.
The tool is a bonus of the EDIUS Training DVD and not mentioned on the cover or webside.
I'm using it frequently and it works perfect for me.
1. export the marker list as a CSV.file
2. open Encore projekt
3. start Encore Chapter Converter and load csv.file

Thanks for your follow up Eric. I will contact Gavin Lucas and see if there is a way to have the marker tool separated on its own for purchase.
Looks a lot better than the subtitle approach imho.
