Whenever i visit the edius id page and fill the details im stuck in password filed. It always says "Create a password of at least eight characters using upper/lower case English letters and at least one number."
no matter with different password combination.

Make sure to select the box before the : I have read the privacy policy and agree to its terms and conditions.

The error message when you have not selected this is wrong. We have reported this.

I had the same issue:
When the password contains: upper AND lower case letters and at least one number.

I just did it and got that too, turns out I forgot to put in language for the news notification.

Using Edius 8

We already did all the steps before and we are using the trial version now (no problems with register or password) we notice that if you do not have internet on the machine Edius does not work.

Would it be the same in the final full version?

The trial requires constant internet connectivity. The retail version only needs it once or maybe twice a month. Did you fill out the paperwork for the free Workgroup upgrade. Workgroup require internet for activation once.

Workgroup upgrade

This license thing is really starting to get on my nerves. I received the Edius Pro 8 upgrade with a serial number from Videoguys. I created an ID. I submitted the form to Grass Valley for the serial for the Workgroup edition. Grass Valley sent me an e-mail today that said the following "Details of your EDIUS Pro Purchase

Serial Number: xxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxx
Company purchased from: Videoguys
Date of purchase: July 3, 2015"

Is this new serial number for the Workgroup upgrade? Is so where do I download the Workgroup file? Or is the file that I downloaded for Workgroup and Pro?
You folks could not have made this upgrade more confusing. Just Saying!

Bob your disdain of the entire process has been well documented. Please take a breath and do a little reading as Steve as suggested and you will be much better off.

You have no idea how this could have been worse. Constant complaining will not make it better.

I have done" a little reading", actually a lot of reading over and over again and keep running into brick walls from trying to create a new user ID to trying to find out where to download Workgroup that I already paid for. Complaining makes me feel good!

the Wokgroup version is the same installer, when you start the license manager, you deactivate 8 Pro, then start EDIUS and enter the workgroup serial, this enables all worgroup features

Quicky that doesn't seem to have been covered:

If we paid for the Pro version and got the Pro serial number - but HAVE NOT installed and activated Pro, after we get our Workgroup Serial - can we install the 8 download and go directly to the WORKGROUP serial # and activation process WITHOUT first using the Pro serial # and then having to cancel it?
