  • Change colour of audio wave in the audio track

Hi Friends and Anton (My guru)

Is there any way to actually change the colour of the audio wave in the audio track in Pro 8. I normally shoot multicam and change the colour of the clips so as to keep track of which camera shot which clip but find that with some colours the audio wave is hardly visible.

    I thank you

Yes you can, right click on the audio clip and select Properties, Click on the File info tab. At the bottom click the Clip color and choose what you like.

Hint: In VA-Track it needs some clicks more.

Change the colour of the WAVE and not the CLIP

              Hi Guys,

Sorry that u guys misread my question, which was can u change the colour of the wave form in the audio clip. An example is that if u have a blue clip, the wave form is not clearly visible because it is too dark on a dark colour (eg blue audio clip). Now if this was possible and it (the wave form) could be changed to a lighter colour eg. white on the blue background it would be better. This way the video clip as well as it's audio clip would be the same colour (blue) but the wave form would be clear.

              I thank you

So you want to change the clip color AND then also change the color of the waveform in that same clip? No, you cannot do that.

I think he want to be able to just change the color of the waveform itself from a dark color to a lighter color.
No, you can't do that. You can just change the entire clip color. The waveform remains the dark.

It would help to post screen shots for specifics.

                      Hi Jerry

That's exactly what I would have loved to do but if it's not possible then maybe it would be food for thought if GV would by default make the WAVE colours lighter for just the darker colour audio clips. The lighter colour audio clips are fine. Thanks for all the inputs.
