Looking at the waveform monitor you may see that the disply is not centered. You can use the u&v in the YUV filter to nudge back into the center as another way of correcting the colour.

You will have to find the tool that works best for you in that situation. All the correctors have their good and bad points. In the 3 way one the centre adjuster adds colour to a black and white image (ie one with the colour turned down) and sometimes you can fix yellow in a full colour image by adding some blue, but you have to look carefully to make sure nothing else goes an odd colour.

You can also use the 3 way filter in selective colour mode (Hue) and select the colour you want to change from the slider, if the rest of the image is ok.

You did it also install after download?
Then the NB-effect should be seen in the effect palette (under NewBlue...)
(I had no problem with the installation)

                      Hi Tobe:

I have to correct me: I had installed NBcolorcorrector some times ago into E7.5 and from there the plugin copied into the E8-Pluginfolder (where it works).
When trying to install NBelements (trial) under E8 this didnt work and NB says it will need some weeks until a new NB-E8-Installer will be ready!

So it could be that the NBcolorcorrector falls under the same restriction .
                      Regards kurt

Maybe it's me...I downloaded, installed and tried to register...shows up as an effect but with cross hatch as if it were a trial...will try again and if not, reach out to New Blue. I though it was a free app...maybe not?
Thanks for the comments...this is on an E7 system.

I think if you color correct the tools in EDIUS are better. They work in 10 bit while the New Blue plug-ins only work at 8-bit in EDIUS.

If your acquisition is 10-bit it makes more sense to stay in 10 or grade in a higher color depth. Even 8 bit footage will benefit in a 10-bit grade.

But feel free to use the NB color corrector. Just added a piece of info which can be important to some. :)

Sorry for not responding sooner. I did not think that anyone would respond since I admitted being lazy. Thank you Anton. Clicking Grey works miracles.
I almost delivered the project with bad colors. Thanks to everyone for your advice. Just shows me that I have so much more to learn.

I always filmed a 5 seconds (right in the beginning of any recording) my Spyder CheckR 24 card - as a matter of habit. Never had an issue with colour correction again.
