  • HDSpark no longer working

    Hi
I've just upgraded from Edius Pro 5 to Edius Pro 7 (Jumpgrade Deal). I can get Edius sound out of my standard PC audio card, but I can't persuade my HD Spark board to output any sound, and there's no HDMI output from it for my big screen display.

Under System settings >--->Preview Device, the HD Spark is listed and I've selected it. But when I click the settings icon a warning message says "Device doesn't support the current format." Is that the end of HD Spark?

Are you working in standard definition or high definition?

My Spark and HDMI monitor do not support standard definition. HD is fine.

Make sure your Device Preset is correct in Edius.
    Regards,

    Jon

        Go to "TOOLS<>EDID Monitor"
An icon will appear in the Bottom Right in the Windows Toolbar
Click on the icon and a window will open giving all the formats your Monitor will handle
If your project settings do not match then a NEW monitor is required
The Monitor controls what can be output
If you had output at the same project settings before, make sure the HDSpark is correctly seated in the computer and the drivers loaded correctly
Check in "DEVICE MANAGER" for any "!"

Have you recently re-installed your OS as well? If so did you remember to also re-install all the drivers for the motherboard as Windows only puts basic versions in
