Ripple not working

Onve in a while I end up with a sequence that doesnt ripple I know it has to be something in my settings but right now im editing a job where ripple cut doesnt work and when I try and grab all the clips to pull them back it hits like a invisible wall where the start of the deleted clip was. What am I doign wrong?

I guess I figured it out I was doing a montage and I put the music down on audio 4 so it WOULDNT mess with the video I was cutting but when I locked that track out everything work as it should.
