Free EDIUS 8 Upgrade Offer

There was. If you had purchased the upgrade to 7 in the promotional time period you would have got a free upgrade to 8 Workgroup, but all the offers finished at the end of July.
The free upgrade was only for those who purchased either a full Edius 7, or an upgrade, jumpgrade or crossgrade to Edius 7 within the specified time period. It was not a free upgrade to all Edius 7 users.

Do you have 2 separate copies of Edius Pro 7 with 2 different serial numbers? If so then you just need to keep one of the numbers for when you install your Edius 8 upgrade.
If you only have 1 Edius 7 number then you will need to keep it for using with your upgrade to 8

Could someone tell me if I need Edius 7 Pro to install Edius 8 Workgroup which I've got from "free upgrade from Edius 7 Pro" ??? Previously I've got Edius 7 pro from free upgrade from Edius 6.5 and during installation I had to write Edius 7 key and Edius 6.5 key after that. Now I have full version Edius 7 Pro + free upgrade key to Edius 8 so my question is do I need this Edius 7 Pro key or not. If not I would like to give this key to my friend.

yes, you can install on two systems and activate on two, once activated, you can disconnect the net forever if you wish
