  • Quick Titler: No Closing Parenthesis with Arial Black

I have a title clip created with EDIUS 6 that has a closing parenthesis as last character using font Arial Black. However the parenthesis does not display!
I tried entering another ")", but nothing appeared. When I select the text and change the font, the ")" appears; when I change it back to Arial Black, it disappears again.
I checked the font by using a word processor: There the ")" appears. Other chracters and "(" are displayed as expected.
    Edius 7.50 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit...
When trying to attach the title file I got "Invalid File"...

There is a thread on here concerning the Bearpaw font where some things did not display and a MS update was the problem. Search for that thread and you may have the same solution.

Uninstalling a critical security update (KB3045171) is not really an option. Microsoft should either fix the fix or update the bad fonts. As other applications still work, I wonder what the developers at grassvalley can do...

I'd also recommend re-booting after each step above, just to be on the safe side.
