bottom video breaks up after using mask

I have two layers of video. One is a regular video clip and the one on top of the video is a matt color. I have placed a mask on the matt color to create a lens flare type of effect. Once I do this and play it back even after render the picture looks staticky, almost like a bad reception. I haven't had this issue at home but now I am at work on their computer and it is doing this. Any ideas? I am using windows professional i7 core and Edius Neo 3.5 with Lenonvo laptop.
I just did another clip and seems to be okay. I wonder what it was?
