Sync, link audio and video, back to bin

I'm syncing video footage with audio recorded separately.
Once in sync, I want to place it back in the bin. However, the audio and video end up separated again.
I've spent a couple of hours searching here and there but can't find a solution.
Does anyone know how I can place individual shots, with the audio in sync, back in the bin and linked together?
I've tried grouping audio and video on the timeline but when I place it back in the bin it's separated.
I've also tried export, print to file but I ended up with video only.
Please help, thanks.

If you make a separate Sequence for the syncing the synced audio and video will reside in the Sequence
It is only a matter of dragging the "Synced" sequence to your main Timeline sequence and the two will be together
You can trim or do anything to the nested sequence without disturbing the original

Yes, got it. I think I was too preoccupied with the idea of sync rushes in the bin. However, your suggestion is a great workaround.
