OK I have 5 separate videos on one timeline (one sequence). This is for convenience as they are all related. Now I sometimes highlight and move around a block of clips, but I could have sworn that I just highlight the clips in that one in/out area for one video. Once in a while, I see that all the clips down the line, which I definitely did not highlight (select), are also moved. So I have to go to a backup, or figure out the pattern to fix it. Is there some kind of mode I could be in that would cause this? I am unfamiliar with the sync lock mode, and not sure if this is related.

can you describe exactly how you go about moving a block of clips?
is insert or overwrite selected?
is ripple on or off? I would keep that off
sync mode can be enabled/disabled on any track or all tracks in one hit, meaning nothing on the track will move if disabled
