Well as the jump-grade offer ends at the end of June it's no real surprise.

What would also be a nice piece of information, is whether or not the plugins which work on EDIUS 7 will work with EDIUS 8. I just upgraded my NEAT, MERCALLI V4 and NEW BLUE effects for EDIUS 7 at considerable cost. Losing those plugins would make EDIUS 8 a really costly upgrade. Muchless the fact that most of the plugin companies won't offer EDIUS 8 compatibility for quite some time - if past history repeats itself.

                  Many thanks,

Al, all I can say at the moment is that Edius 8 will be able to work with OpenFX plugins.

Ok then I misunderstood it. It is going to be $199 for EDIUS 7 users
