Is there an Extend edit in edius ?

In the other NLE edit programs there is an EXTEND EDIT short cut where as you can extend an edit point backwards / forwards , is there such a shortcut for this type of edit in Edius ?

yes, but you need to assign it to a keyboard shortcut of your choice

I think the default shortcut is Shift Alt M to extend to the right and Shift Alt N to extend to the left to cursor position. Although I think it is easier to just grab the end of the clip with the mouse and extend it as needed.

Hello Anton ,

The " extend " settings on my keyboard shortcuts are different to yours. Missing from my shortcuts are :

(a) extend clip to cursor ( in point )

(b) extend clip to cursor ( out point )

What is wrong here ?

Yes I tried your shortcuts but they aren't functioning on my Edius , do I need to set them up ?

what is your version number? please apply update 7.50.191 aqnd then my shortcuts will be available

the shortcuts Pat mentioned do strange things here, they do split extend, only video is extended and not audio
