  • Problems with lip sync now after update nothing works HELP!

I did the new update the other day and now all my clips are no longer audio and lip synced.

If i play back in the preview left window to set in and out points it is 100% like it should be but then as soon as i drop the clips in the time line the lip sync and audio is now off on every clip.

I even went back and pulled in some older clips that has worked right before the update and they are now not lip synced.

I am using all HQX clips.
I can not edit anything now all the audio on everything is off.

Also now any project i open that was done and worked 100% before are all not working right the audio is off on the audio synce on all of them.

So right now i am dead for doing any editing or playing back any projects.

    How can i fix this.
    Thanks

Could you post a screen shot of your entire time line including buffer area.
Also, I did a sample of the shofight logo in your Vistitle thread.

Despite the unconventional GUI arrangement, I don't see anything really out there. I usually have my audio patches on the first layer. The only thing that might be an issue is that you are using Overwrite and Ripple.
There is an issue with the Insert/Overwrite function, which has been reported. I don't know if this coupled with ripple could be the cause of sync loss.
Are you using an external monitor by way of an I/O card? If so, does the audio match the on the computer monitor or on the external device monitor?
Basically, where is your audio routed after it is processed?

        Is this on a laptop?

Start a new project and pull in the same clips. Do the audio and video sync?

          Hi
This is a 25 inch monitor basically used just for the editing interface. I have a second monitor that has other tools on it like scopes and audio meter and it doubles as the preview for the left edit in and out points output, Then i have a HDMI going to a large HD TV that shows me the finial output from the time line.

I have been using it this way for some time now and the only thing i did different is do the new update..

I have tested new time lines and opening other projects and with everything the audio is now off after the upgrade.
I can no longer play back any of my other finished projects now as they are all messed up now to with the audio sync out of wack. That is hundreds of hours of work i can not out put or make edit changes to.

I have to go shoot in a few i will check back later tonight..

I did a lot more testing and even saved out a clip to play back.

Both my work monitors do have the audio snyc working right but on my HD TV output the audio is out of sync.

I have done nothing to my system except install the new Edius update and before the update i never had this problem i have edited lots of videos on this setup with all the audio sync working 100% and now after the update it no longer works right.

What could the update of changed making my system now not sync up right??

I need to get this fixed fast

So are you also monitoring the audio on the TV through HDMI or are you monitoring the audio on the PC with just the video going out to the TV through HDMI?

Is the HDMI connected to a proper I/O card or through the graphics card?

I seem to have it fixed now but not the way it was.

I was using the out from my PC audio to a powered speaker. And then the HDMI to the TV with no audio coming out of the TV.

Now by using the TVs sound and unplugging the cord from the back of my PC going to my powered speaker it is all working.

I am not sure what is going on as i have never used the sound on the TV before and the audio sync was always right till now.
I some times do not even turn on the TV when i am just setting in and out points on clips i am saving to a time line sequence to work on later and i need the powered speaker to have sound.

I still need to get the powered speaker working again it is also more easy to reach over and turn up and down fast then the TV.

The HDMI going to the TV is coming out of my GTX 960 video card

you will only hear timeline sounds via your PC speakers if preview device is set to Generic OHCI, can you confirm?

btw, where are your video clips stored? are they in the root of a drive or in a folder?

Took me some time to find it but yes Generic OHCI is checked.

My video clips for this project i am working on are on a drive in a folder that is named Shofight
Then a folder named Day 1
Then in a folder called HQX

I shoot with the Samsung NX1 and need to transcode the files to HQX into that folder to then use.

                        that is fine

what version EDIUS did you have prior to applying 7.50

I have come across an audio sync issue that started after version 7.32

                            try this:

                            1. uninstall EDIUS and select perform deactivation later
                            2. install EDIUS 7.32 full installer and reboot (see attached version number) (MAKE SURE directx is ticked in the installer window)
                            3. report back if sync issue is fixed

meanwhile, to troubleshoot your current TV sound issue, I need to know how the TV is connected to EDIUS PC and what output hardware is used such as HD Spark etc (in which case preview device needs to be set to HD Spark and not generic OHCI)
