I do a weekly program which involves capturing 60 to 75 minutes of DVCam video uninterrupted as one large file. I've been using Edius 7.2 for a few months and things have been working fairly well. For the past two weeks, every time I try to capture, it fails after a number of minutes, this time after 28 minutes. I didn't write the error message down, but it was something like, "could not find the file". What's going on? It has just started happening. I'm capturing to an external USB 3.0 3 TB drive. I tried to shut down any program that might be running, that might affect capturing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ross

for testing, make sure all capture divide options are disabled and capture to an internal drive, then copy the file to the external driveAttached FilesAnton Strauss

Sounds like the USB 3 drive is dropping out momentarily. I've had this when transferring to a USB drive. Have you tried capturing to an internal drive?DVC Built Clevo P775DM3-G Laptop with UHD screen, 7700K [email protected], Geforce GTX 1060 6GB GPU, 500GB M.2 Primary, 1x 480GB SSD, 1x1TB M.2, 1x 2TB 5400RPM Video drives, external Blu-ray OpticalComment

I've seen that as well. For mission critical captures I would always use a drive connected to the onboard controller or a dedicated raid card.Jerry
