This is a strange one but here goes. I have a logitech wireless mouse that I use to edit with my Edius desktop system set up in a sort of "L" desk configuration. My two Edius monitors are on one desk and my macbook pro and second Edius system (a laptop) are on the other desk. The Edius laptop is turned off. The mbp is turned on and has a wireless mouse although not very close to the logitech which is malfunctioning. If I try to drag an effect or do almost anything in Edius it sometimes works and other times stops in the middle of dragging leaving a mess on my timeline. I changed the batteries, no better. This mouse is newer because this was happening a while ago and I figured the previous mouse was shot. I didn't change any settings in Edius nor my studio setup. My theory is maybe there' some type of interference OR this second mouse is also malfunctioning OR could it possibly be something inside Edius? Again I haven't changed anything on the system. I'm going to try to dig out a wired mouse to see what happens. Thanks.

If you still have problems after following Antons suggestion, remove the Logitech mouse driver and leave it on the default windows driver
Had similar problems
Have done both and have not had a problem for a long time, just means the extra buttons no longer work just left, right and wheel
