Hello,
I'm having issues with audio playback in Edius 7 Pro. I have all the current updates installed.
I had the same issues when I first bought and installed Edius on a new computer. After some tinkering I was able to get the audio to playback properly. My OS was mysteriously corrupted a week or so ago and since I've re-installed Windows 8.1 and Edius the playback issue is back but this time I can't figure it out.
I get no audio on playback from the Timeline nor do I get any in the Player. The audio mixer is active and working...I can see the audio waveform and when I play the files outside of Edius (in Quicktime player or VLC etc...the audio works properly.
My preview device is set to Generic OHCI - Output...I do not have and GV hardware. The 'Edius QuicktimeHost" appears in my Windows Volume Mixer. My speakers are plugged into my Asus Z97-K motherboard that has Realtek High Definition Audio...nothing is muted and all other Windows sounds...If it helps I'm also using the GeForce GTX 760 graphics card.
I know it's probably an easy fix but I'm stumped.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
