  • When will the layouter do proper work?

Everytime I try to work with the layouter tool, I wonder who has designed the strange & fuzzy interface.
There are a lot really curious & unhandy things to be mentioned, but the graphic editor where bezier lines can be drawed drives me nuts.
Much often the bezier curves are getting cutted off so the bezier can't be adjusted.
The layout tool can be used for very very simple situations, but in situations of a bit more complexity you will strand.
    So frustrating...

The finding is not new & I wonder why the layouter tool never lost its unready state?

    Hi Andreas:
"...Much often the bezier curves are getting cutted off so the bezier can't be adjusted....":
Short answer: Often it helps me to press the SHIFT-Key before dragging the bezierhandles.

In what way can the SHIFT-Key help in that situation?
The bezier handlers are simply not present!

Sometimes/often, when I want to drag the handle horizontally, the handle "jumps away" (disappears), when I click on the handle.
In this case I press SHIFT before I click on the handle; then I can drag it horizontally to a position where I want it to be - and then leaving the SHIFT-key I drag the handle vertically.
        Doesnt work always but sometimes...often.
The attached pictures show (not very well) what I mean. Its troublesome for me to show by screenshots how I "conjure" in such cases.
Neverethless: I agree with your general critic. Its really troublesome.
In addition I would wish also that I could see what option I had selected (linear, bezier, hold), for example by a checkmark aside the selected option.
        Regards kurt

          Aaah, yes,
this is to move the bezier handlers straight horizontaly.
I'm aware of this, but it doesn't help on dissappeard bezier handlers.

When I have moved keyframes after initial creation & some early adjustments I have lost the bezier handlers appearance.
If I would squeeze it back to it's inital size, I would get the handlers back on the screen.

I would wish a lot more known PS key commands would take effect.
The curiousity is that the layouter does not follow Edius internal key commands.
