Jumpy Video -- Can EDIUS clean-up

I have 5 minute VHS clip that has good audio but unstable video. The video has lines, etc. When you fast play the video, it clears-up but the audio is not ok at this point. ---- ??? Is there a technique tht can be used to
clean-up this video.

EDIUS is an editor, not really a noise-reduction or video cleanup tool.

The best I can think of would be to use some blur, maybe motion blur. But you'll have a difficult time.

If the VCR supports constant-speed playback at 2X or the like, you could try capturing that and reducing the speed in EDIUS back to normal speed, but it's more likely that the noise is still there, it's just moving fast enough that you don't notice as much.

Jumpy Video

It sounds to me that the heads on the recording device were dirty when recorded. Where did you get the VHS clip? Is it from a VHS tape recorded from a camera or perhaps a VHS second generation tape from some other source?

The video clip was shot by the dad of a boy who is playing football. Yes, the camera malfunctioned at the first 5 minutes of taping and then cleared for usual good taping.
