project settings 4k or 480

I've 4 k footage which needs editing and titling and there will be some layouter cropping etc and the final delivery will be sd
Should all the editing be done with a 4k preset then just before bunring to disc change the project settings to sd?

the choice is yours, I would possibly edit in a 1920x1080 preset so I can see a decent external picture via the output card, then switch to SD prior to export

just make sure you enable lanczos3 in the SD preset
