Layouter default to original size

Layouter default to original size

My grandson is being adorable in a bunch of smartphone videos and various non-HD clips sent to me. Is there a way to set the layouter to default to 'original size' to keep these at the best resolution once put on an HD timeline? There will be some HD footage from my camera but most of it is not.

Appreciate you guidance.

Gigabyte mobo with i7 K2600, 16G Ram, Storm Mobile, nVidia 570 but I'm just a hobbyist.
