    Hi
I exported a mpeg2 from procoder express ( 16:9 ) it plays ok with vlc media player, and with sonic dvdit pro 6.1, but it plays as 4x3 with windows media player, am I doing something wrong exporting it, it is from an hdv timelime to sd 16:9 target ?

this is normal with older media players

        hmm, works fine here

make sure you go to ProCoder advanced settings and enable the 16:9 flag

I used the procoder express wizard, I have the option to set the stream as 4x3 or 16x9, nothing more, and I sat it as 16x9 ?

            Older WMPers letterboxed 16:9.

what version Edius are you using? maybe your version does not set the 16:9 flag correctly

I tested with ProCoder3, I will test with Express later today, but I have an older version of Edius, see signature

can you encode one second as 16:9 and email it to me

the clip you sent me is 16:9 and plays 16:9 in my media player 11
                    version 11.0.5721.5145

maybe you need to go to windows update and choose custom, then look for media player related updates

do you have PowerDVD or WinDVD? play the file and see if it plays 16:9

maybe your media player is missing a codec? installing PowerDVD should fix that
