Hey Anton, cheers for chiming in but no luck with that either.

I just opened up dual windows now and not even the timeline will play realtime now.

I then tried both the 1920/1080 AVCHD 26mbps 50P and HQ files and all is okay.

So it has something to do with the GoPro protune files on this Win8 laptop.

      Nailed it :-)

      Thanks guys for the input.

I opened up NIVIDA GeForce settings- manage 3D settings and added EDIUS to use the dedicated graphics card and not the integrated one :-)

your clips are 8bit and project setting is 10bit, can you see if anything improves with an 8bit project setting

also, can you make the preview mon smaller so it eliminates all the black and fits the actual vision, then test again

Yes I know, I put it on 10bit as it helps with the compression banding you get with Protune.
It edits now no problems in 10bit with CC added....very happy :-)
It will play along in real time now with the preview window at any size, even full screen.

Yeh you made me get the screen grabs for nothing now :-)

And so here is the first edit of the laptop, done in 10bit.
This was a sunset FPV fly so the light was hard for the GoPro to compress.
You can really see the compressing light banding even though its 30mbps Protune.

See how the new 4 goes.
Very happy I can edit in 10bit though.
