    7.3 - Window Layouts gone after crashes

    Has anyone else noticed this?
    Scenario happened twice yesterday.

    Edius freezes/locks/whitescreens. When you restart The Window layout i.e. where your TL, Bin, Player/source windows are etc. is back to default and SAVED LAYOUTS are gone. Nothing in list
    Crashes aside, This must surely be a bug.

    The crashes are another issue and I am running on a high spec demo machine whilst a new 8core Haswell is being built. There is no Raid in this machine so maybe that is the problem when it is being stretched but when the crashes happen I dont see any Edius error reports - thoughts? I will be speaking to my "A Team" on Monday but wondered if there was any input on this.

      Did you see this in the release version of 7.31.2939, 7.32.1724, or in both?

          This is 7.32 which is the first time I have used vers 7...as I have been waiting for the bugs to be sorted...COUGH

          At IBC they were using 7.4 which would not work with Boris...embarrasing as Peter McAuley (from Boris) was trying to demo it as a plug-in and had to use it standalone.

              Did he say which version of Boris he was using? It was probably better that it didn't work than show the poor playback performance from the Edius timeline.

                  Not sure-assumed the latest which I thought Peter said worked with earlier 7* versions?

                      While I cannot speak on the machine in our booth. I had Boris Red Running perfectly fine on a mobile workstation at IBC with EDIUS 7.4
                      Don't know what went wrong at the booth to be honest.

                              Yes I saved one this morning before the crash - It saves as a default layout- #wasteofspace !
