  • izotope not showing up in edius 7

    Hi fellow editors.

Looking at upgrading to edius 7.

Just downloaded the trial of edius 7 and the trial of izotope rx4.

Downloaded the 64bit version of izotope.

Added the vst plugins within edius in the vst plug in bridge.

    Restarted edius.

Izotope plugin not showing in audio filters.

Is this happening because i am using the trial of edius at the moment or is there issues at present.

    Looking forward to some feeback.

    Cheers Andy

P.S. If edius is not working with izotope at the moment can anyone recommend a sound limiter filter to ensure my audio won`t go over the -10db limit or is there one in edius I am missing?

The VST audio plugins like Izotope are not actually installed in Edius they are in a common place for all programs to use.

So you need to go to Edius > settings > system settings > Effects > VST Plug-in Bridge and point Edius at the right place.

Click the add button and locating the folder: Program Files\Common Files\VST3

You need to restart Edius as it will scan plugins availability only at start up, then it should show up.

    I use Ozone5 and RX2. Ozone 5 Maximiser has a TV levels pre-set. (-12dB)

Just tested it using the full version of Edius and they show up for me.
Which VST folder are you adding in to Edius? I always add in C:\Programs\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins

Yes you are right Steinberg is the other one, but they also seem to live on my system in the common files folder. They it seems can be in either place.

                Hi,
I've exactly the same problem: Izotope RX4 advanced is not recognized by edius. I tried to link several folders with VST bridge (including commun files > VST3 > Izotope) but it did'nt worked...

I bought it because i thought it was compatible with EDIUS 7, but i'm afraid it's not...

The Izotope installer gives the option IIRC.

Did you then go into Edius and make sure that the VST plugin folder is in the VST Plug-in-bridge section? Should be

                              C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins

once that's added in restart Edius and they should show up in the Audio section as an extra section
