Luminance Key Transition

Hi, I am trying to create a transition based on the luminance key value changes. This is something very common when using a video mixer, but I was not able to do this in Edius. The basic idea is to increase the luminance values until the complete image is transparent to the lower layers.

Any ideas?

I think you can get what you want using the Luma Key in NB VE 4. You just have to keyframe the Threshold level. Download the trial and see if it is what you need.
