  • Installing New Effects?

This seems like an easy question I just cant find it anywhere.

How can you add extra effects into edius and is there a good place to find them?

Im finding myself wanting an additive dissolve but realise im new to edius and this requests will just stack up. Also, is there anywhere in Edius to make your own or customise them?

    Thanks for the help

You make a new folder in the effects window, then right click and "import" the file.

Is there anywhere where you can dump a folder full of effects that you have created and exported? Importing them one by one is tedius...

You can select many effects, then export them. Matter of fact you can just select a folder and export it. Once you import the effects back, everything loads in your exported folder.

Thanks Dave, but what I meant is - can you IMPORT them all at once.....

I have on my USB keyring my profile, and preset effects that I have created. I'd like to be able to quickly set up a work space wherever I go - but with the effects, if I have like 25 of them - I have to import each one.....25 imports!!!!

Tell me I'm wrong :) Please....

Yeah, that's not possible unfortunately. But add it as a feature request, you never know :)

You have to load each one separately, which must be a headache I'm sure. But do it once, then export the whole folder...if you ever need to move around or need the effects again, just import the one file you exported.

Dave!!! You're a genius! I don't mind doing it once :) Like you said, just export the folder, and it becomes a file - then import the file and they are all there:) Brilliant~!
