Has anyone gotten DVCapture to work in OCHI?.....I like this utility a lot and want to use it on my OCHI only system....Installed it, but it would not open.

Do you have your deck connected via firewire?

Do you have EDIUS installed on your ohci system and is you dongle inserted?

You now can use it if you have EDIUS installed on a ohci system.

Edius 4 that is, but it won't work on my Edius 4 system, and we can't seem to find out why. Just loads the splash screen and then reports an error and closes. Canopus tech support and I have given up for the time being. I'm thinking of installing a new C: drive and rebuilding the software system from scratch, but everything else seems OK.

It works on my XP 4.52 version no problems.
No Canopus hardware just software and a $20 multi firewire card.

DV capture does not work on VISTA nor does Title Motion Pro.
4.52 is running on VISTA though but no Canopus hardware..don't need it.
Heroglyph will run on it and so will Mercalli.

Man it has taken me a whole day to turn off all the VISTA rubbish and standard software they put on HP laptops...I had great delight in destroying Nortons....what a horrible lets take over your computer and bog it down piece of software that is...ha ha..

Have now running on Vista, a free firewwall, free adware & free home made up datable virus scanner using Trend micro's virus patterns that I run now and again to keep it clean.

Dvcapture does work on Vista
Tmpro does work on VISTA

I use them both on a HP pavillion notebook that came with Vista

XPLODE pro does not work to the fullest you have to render everything under vista. But since I don't use it on my note book I have no problem. But you are correct you have to remove a lot of crap that th notebook came with.
I think they should make loading all that crap selectable.

Also I would recommend not to use Aero it uses to much memory which you can better use for EDIUS

O well I will have another go at seeing if DV capture will work on Vista this end. Was getting errors on import and it stopping on me.

Be sure to use the latest. and keep the dongle in. :)

Nope keeps coming back with File Write Error in DV capture window.
O well it works in EDIUS.

Nortons- Virus...you could be right there. Funny thing I have found a virus on a clients computer once after I had done a full scan with Nortons with it's latest virus pattern installed.
