Why would you do that anyway? Using the ProCoder Express or ProCoder 3 Mpeg 2 target output will yield better results than getting Encore to encode it.

Have you tried the alternative HDV encoders that EDIUS 4.5x provide? There's the one inside PCE and the "MPEG2 (HDV)" native exporter too.
FYI, the native exporter is planned to have SpeedEncoder-like enhancement in a future release.

Output options for Blu-ray authoring
I'm still working on identifying the best workflow option for getting HD content from Edius into Adobe CS3 to make a Blu-ray disc, and today it's looking like CS3 doesn't recognize standard HDV files from Procoder Express. I have gotten CS3 to recognize both AVI files in the Edius HQ format and an M2P file with full 1080p resolution, but it would be nice to be able to use Speed Encoder to spit out an HDV file and have CS3 recognize that. Has anyone managed to get an HDV file into CS3, and if so how exactly did you do it?Last edited by kwshaw1; 10-26-2007, 08:36 PM.Tags: None
