  • Weird audio levels problem Edius7.21

    I am editing a showreel in 1920/50i.

I want to now break it up into individual sections. So make a new sequence called say promos, copy the clips from the master into the new promos sequence and the audio meter is showing just below the yellow but red coloured and the audio sounds over compressed and "woolley" or overdriven & distorted.

The original clips have Izotope Ozone 5 Maximiser on and sound good. In the copy clip I have to go into Izotope and adjust the output volume slider to get it to go back to normal levels on the copied clips.

Its almost like Edius made a virtual Izotope filter and was doubling it' effect.

Any ideas what is going on here? And more important how to avoid the problem.
