change default transition length?

Can't find the method to change the length of the default transition in Edius 3.6.
Could someone please enlighten me?

I was under the impression that I could set different transitions for different lengths. For instance, I could make a preset for a dissolve of 10 frames and another for 20 frames, etc. Then I could make whichever one I wanted to be the default and change it at will. But when I make a preset at 10 frames it changes every preset to 10 frames.

Does Edius have a shortcut key to apply a transition less than 30 frames?

This would be a great addition Bill. I tried the same thing way back in the past. Hopefully this will someday be an option.

I just hit Alt+U on a transition and enter the digits with the numpad, such as 115 for 1:15 (1.5 second transition), then hit enter. Works great for me and it's a habit already.
