  • Problem Using Transition with Edius 2.5

I am using Edius 2.5 and Digital Juice 3.0. I have my main video on 1VA and a Digital Juice overlay on 2VA. The overlay with alpha is working fine, but when I apply a transition to the mixer track on 2VA, during the time of the transition there is no alpha and so the effect is black where there is supposed to be video.
I can use the mixer rubber band to dissolve into the overlay without a problem, it's only transitions that don't work. Any idea's as to why this is happening.

Are you really using EDIUS v2.5?

      That's 2.5, for sure.

Yep, still using Edius 2.5 as it does everything (well, most everything) I do.
Any idea why the transitions aren't working with a overlay with alpha?

As I remember it, proper alpha handling for EDIUS FX transitions was not implemented until v3. My head is hazy..
