  • Still frame over video help Please!

What I am trying to achieve WORKING IN PAL!!

A STILL poto over full frame video with a white border JUST!! JUST!! around the PHOTO

    NOW

I have tryed this every way I can think of BUT every time I get an UNDESIRABLE SITUATION.

IN premier with storm its a dodle(easy) import picture put on video track above video ADD PIP filter and ADD white border.................

IN EDIUS inport picture put on video track above video add PIP ADD border and HEY ITS framed a FULL frame of video with the picture in the middle and the white border to left and right is framing nothing( you can see video under the picture) but a keyed area.

So do I have to scan all my pics at 768 by 576 then PIP and reduce em down

Edius is assuming FULL FRAME even when you put a small picture on. Is ther a way af making the black when you put a small picture on the time line dissapear....................

Are you using 3D PIP? or just PIP?

In 3D PIP you can easily crop out any unwanted black border and add a white border just round the photo

OK...........I see how I can achieve the foto without the ADDED frame of black video attached. although its still not 100%

BUT as I work I am adding keyframes to the 3D PIP timeline? what a messy way to achieve this simple effect.

      Am I doing this wrong?

      Thanks for reply

If you dont want to add keyframes make sure your timeline cursor or the cursor in the 3D pip window is at the start of the clip and dont move it until you are finished. That way no extra keyframes are produced.

Why is it not 100% it should be as accurate as you want to make it
