I am looking for an effect for Edius that creates heavy video distortions: i.e. collapsing picture, stripes, deforming, jumping picture, etc...any ideas?

    Is this a joke?
Most people are looking for solutions which avoid such effects ..

The best way if you have the kit and time, is to feed the signal through a CRT in SD, and film it. Using it via the RF input if possible, and with something that can do vertical roll and tuning etc., will give loads of variation of a properly distorted picture.

If you don't know the difference between Azimuth and Asimov, then either your tapes sound bad and your Robot is very dangerous. Kill all humans...... Or your tape deck won't harm a human, and your Robot's tracking and stereo imagining is spot on.

Is your Robot three laws safe?

Have you had a look through some of the New Blue FX or Boris Red?

You could try this preset that I have for simulating a TV picture break up.

Once unzipped add this to your FX list. It is a combination of FX, so you can modify them if it is not quite what you want.
