  • Trouble with Panpot and Balance

Since updating from Edius 6.06 to 7.20 I can no longer open panpot & Balance while playing the timeline clip, instead playback is stopped..

At first I figured the MOV 50Mb/s IPB format from my new GH3 was the cause as opposed to my more usual AVCHD stuff but on reloading some of this to compare, it's just the same.
The only thing I have changed is the Edius version, oh and I added a Decklink card.

Without real time adjustment the panpot filter is rather useless to me. Is there something I can do or is it just that with Edius 7 being 64 bit my processor is now too slow?

Got to User Settings>Preview>Playback and check what you have checked there.

Ha! I had forgotten those switches! Okay, got them all on now and it helps, provided I do it this way..

1: select the clip with the panpot
2: double click the panpot filter
      2: re-select the timeline
      3: press space

Playback continues, panpot settings still there and I can make the adjustment while playing without it stopping. However if I should forget and try to open the panpot once the clip is playing it just stops.

I don't recall it working this way in Edius 6, I may be wrong, anyway I can get my work done now, so thanks Jerry.
