New motherboard?

Hello everyone,

I'll try here since I didn't get a response in five days in the hardware forum. Maybe it doesn't see as much traffic?

One of my current systems is getting a little long in the tooth so it's time to upgrade. I use the HD Spark in this system and I'm looking at the i7-470K Haswell 3.5GHz cpu. Any recommendations for a current motherboard? I've always used Asus but am open to suggestions. Thanks!

I just saw this, a board with Thunderbolt 2 -- definitely worth considering for video work:

But it seems to be nearly twice the price of the Asus Z87-Deluxe/quad which also has Thunderbolt 2
