capture problems

When I capture VHS footage through the phono in terminals and firewire to capture card, After a few minutes of capture the capture stops and I get a message saying BUSY OCCURRED. What is the problem here?

Could you describe your system and connections in detail, including capture software and settings.
Sort of sounds like you are capturing video stream from firewire and audio forma sound cart.
What are you using to A/D convert the VHS analog output?

The message is probably PCI bus busy which is message that comes up whenever capture stops and does not really describe the problem. It could be as simple as the drive to which you are capturing is not fast enough but will depend on what version of EDIUS you are using, which capture card, what the settings are etc..
