Does anyone have any good tutorials on how to use the DVD author tool? Maybe if I learned all the ins and outs I would like it more.

That is a good question Randy. Especially now that the authoring part of Edius is fixed in 7.21. If you find a good tutorial please PM me.

    Thanks

You indicate "fixed" for the DVD authoring in EDIUS. I wonder if that/those fix(s) address the disappointment I have experienced with it.

I created a fairly complex menu, 2 sequences each with 6 chapters. That created a main menu to select either sequence and two chapter menus, one for each sequence. Each menu had a background which I supplied. The chapter menus were motion menus. It looked great. Problem was, it played properly on one of my DVD players, It would not even load on another player, and the navigation on chapter menus wouldn't work (sometimes) on another DVD player.

Does this sound like the sort of problem which has been fixed?

I wish someone would make a DVD tool that pluged in to Edius. I really hate going to Encore.

I really love going to DVD Lab Pro, it is such a simple workflow from EDIUS 7 to DLP

            1. export markers using the german marker exporter
            2. export ES streams (very fast) and feed DLP
