Is there anyway to get a nice gaussian blur in Edius? The only "blur" filter they have is very boxy and doesn't generate soft pixels and there is no control on the blur except the percent of blur. (I'm not talking about the blur on masks). Maybe even a 3rd party plugin? Would the AE gaussian blur work in AE bridge in Edius?

Well, I have tried 7 but had too many unexpected and unexplained crashes, where as 6.07 crashes about %0... so I have to stick with it for now. I know some will say that it is stable for them but they are the few lucky ones.Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Intel Core i7 3770k 3.5GHz, 4 Core, 8 Threads, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB, 500GB SSD HDD for OS, 40TB Usable Hard Drive Capacity, Window 10 PRO 64-bit Edius 9.5 WORKSTATION...

Sorry, my mistake... it was 6.5 I tried and had crashes. Never tried 7. Does anyone know if the 31 day trial has any limitations so I can try before I buy?Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Intel Core i7 3770k 3.5GHz, 4 Core, 8 Threads, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB, 500GB SSD HDD for OS, 40TB Usable Hard Drive Capacity, Window 10 PRO 64-bit Edius 9.5 WORKSTATION...

the trial version has no user manual and has no dvd menu templates included, only one per category
everything else is fully functional
the manual and DVD templates can be downloaded once purchased and registered
also, I am not sure if the trial version allows updates until registered and activatedAnton Strauss

It is always good to have a clone of your system just to try things out. I wouldn't put Edius 7 on your existing system because you will have to uninstall whatever version of Edius you are currently using.Jerry
