Is it possible to take a 1440 video clip (from a Canon A-1 camera) and convert it to a 1920x1080, reason I ask is that in Roxio Pro HD, motion menus won't accept 1440 for menus, but plays 1440 main video fine. PS, Roxio accepts Canopus HQ avi just fine, The Blu-ray BD-R video lookin fantastic...Gary

Open up a new project with a 1920x1080 setting. Drop your 1440x1080 footage on the timeline and export . Then bring it back into Roxio.Jerry

Udate to 4.52 disaster
The upgrade from 4.51c to 4.52 has been a disaster.
I now have 3 systems with no presets and procoder express for Edius can't parse the video file as there are no presets to refer to.
I can't uninstall 4.52 upgrade either in control panel or via the uninstaller which is a very bad situation which ought to be fixed quickly.
So I now have to revert to a much earlier drive ghost and start again. Not sure where this leaves the HDBX1000 and its firmware already upgraded but that's my only option left.
A spare reference "gold standard" drive worked going from 4 to 4.52.

I really don't understand why people don't make regular backups. If you are using a computer for business purposes, you have an obligation to back it up to protect yourself and your clients -- not doing so is negligent.
Suppose it wasn't the installation of a software update that causes the problem. You can always uninstall Edius and reinstall it up to a version that you were happy with -- it takes time, but can be done if you have the CDs and serial number handy.
But what if your hard drive crashed or got corrupted? Now you have to reinstall Windows, all hotfixes and updates, all the other software you use, updates for that etc. And that's just the software, it doesn't cover your projects and other content you created.

I agree with you. But I would never put my projects and other content on a system drive :)
Fail safe raid.

createmedia,
As far as I see it, you're saying that because there are missing presets, its a disaster!!?? It seems silly to uninstall, reinstall, and whatever other steps are suggested here, in order to fix your problem....Why not create your own presets? Or learn how to create the desired output video by doing it manually? I and others would be glad to help, plus you get to learn valuable things. When I go out, I wear my EDIUS T-Shirt.
